Disabled people deserve spaces where their value is recognized, respected, and shared in community.

JustUs is a disability-led grassroots initiative based in Melbourne. We create accessible community programs designed by and for disabled people.
Our activities are free or low-cost and held in sensory-safe, accessible venues. Everything we run is designed with real access needs in mind — from how events are structured to how information is communicated.
We currently run programs including ceramics workshops, a book club, and community chess, with more activities planned as the community grows.
At its heart, JustUs exists because disabled people deserve community spaces designed for them, by them.
We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land on which we meet, live and work, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation, and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
We recognise that sovereignty was never ceded, and that this land has always been a place of community, learning and connection.
At JustUs, we aim to create spaces that are respectful, inclusive and genuinely welcoming, especially for those who are often excluded from community spaces. We recognise the intersections of disability, culture and identity, and continue to listen, learn and improve our practices.
